Team Pride Wheelchair Basketball - Marsh Creek Community Center

Summary

Join us for Team PRIDE wheelchair basketball practice!

Description

Come enjoy the wonderful sport of Wheelchair Basketball, where you get good physical exercise and have fun while doing it.

Wheelchair Basketball is very similar to its standing basketball counterpart; however, athletes use lightweight sports chairs that are easy to maneuver and increase stability in order to react with the athlete’s body. Athletes are required to shoot, pass, or dribble after every 2 pushes. The sport tests athlete eye-hand coordination and is bound by team camaraderie! Coaches will run drills, work on skill development, and allow time for scrimmages/games to implement skills learned. This is a great way to keep physically active and have fun at the same time. Come be a part of Team PRIDE!
